Photographic proof that wild animals are hilarious

(CNN) — Gophers goofing round, a laughing snake and racoons seemingly sharing their secrets and techniques are among the many shortlisted pictures for the 2021 Comedy Wildlife Picture Awards.

The collection of 42 pictures make up the ultimate shortlist for the competitors, which obtained greater than 7,000 entries from world wide, in response to a press launch on Wednesday.

Different shortlisted pictures embrace a grey seal pup that seems to be guffawing, a boxfish that appears prefer it’s pouting on the digital camera and a grumpy-looking pied starling.

The awards had been based in 2015 by photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, who wished to advertise wildlife conservation via humor, mentioned the press launch.
