North Carolina police establish 20-year-old driver of truck who struck, killed lady throughout Christmas parade

A 20-year-old driver who allegedly misplaced management of a truck that hit and killed a lady collaborating in a Christmas parade in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Saturday morning was recognized by police later within the night. 

The truck was pulling a float that was within the parade behind ladies with the CC & Co. Dance Advanced. 

The motive force was recognized as Landen Christopher Glass, 20. He was arrested for misdemeanor demise by motorcar, careless and reckless, improper gear, unsafe motion, and carrying a firearm in a parade.

“The women stored dancing, after which in a short time parted because the truck moved by way of them. There have been extra dancers past this group. We have been all, I feel, questioning if it was a part of the parade,” a girl who noticed the accident advised WRAL-TV. 

Glass was shouting that he couldn’t management the pickup earlier than it crashed, witnesses stated.

One other bystander stated she noticed the lady on the bottom with a blanket masking her. Others reported listening to tires screeching, screaming, and the car’s horn blaring on the time of the accident. 

“We began dancing within the parade, after which swiftly, we simply heard lots of honking,” fellow dancer Olivia Bruce, 14, advised the Information & Observer. “And once we turned again, we noticed the truck nearly on our backs, so we turned away,” Bruce stated.
