New York Police Division (NYPD) officers discovered a big cache of weapons in Jamaica Bay after being tipped by a fisherman, officers say.
The weapons had been discovered on Wednesday after divers from the NYPD Particular Operations staff situated them in Jamaica Bay, close to the borough of Queens.
The NYPD instructed Fox Information Digital that the 44-year-old man had discovered a plastic bag stuffed with weapons whereas fishing.
The fisher alerted the NYPD, who promptly deployed Emergency Response Detectives Unit divers to get well the weapons.

The NYPD described the fisherman as a “involved New Yorker.”
Officers discovered three AR-15 rifles in a black plastic bag. A number of hours later, they retrieved 14 handguns.
