Illinois man robbed two banks whereas on court-supervised launch for 2 different financial institution heists

He was convicted of 4 counts of financial institution theft after a four-day trial.


Federal prosecutors stated Phillips posed as a buyer and handed the tellers a deposit slip and introduced he was robbing the financial institution. 

Within the Belvidere theft, he threatened a teller by saying, “Don’t make me come over-the-counter,” after he wasn’t given as a lot cash as he demanded, prosecutors stated. 

Three days after that heist, regulation enforcement searched his Rockford residence and located $5,090 in money hidden in a sock.
