The mom of a new child child boy discovered fatally stabbed at a College of Georgia dormitory constructing many years in the past has been recognized because the killer, authorities stated.
The lady, Katherine Grant, was enrolled at UGA and was dwelling on the Oglethorpe Home dormitory on the time of the killing, FOX Atlanta reported. A custodian found the toddler on Jan. 8, 1996 in a first-floor toilet.
The kid was stabbed a number of instances and was hidden in a rubbish can.

The case languished for years till 2021, when DNA testing led investigators to the child’s father. He informed detectives he had lived on campus on the time of the killing and had a sexual relationship with a pupil.
He stated he solely remembered her final title being Grant. Investigators later decided Katherine Grant was the kid’s mom. She lived within the dorm corridor on the time.
She left faculty and the Athens space months after the kid was discovered. In 2004, she took her personal life. A DNA take a look at from her brother revealed a match that confirmed she was the mom.
