Endangered hooded vulture escapes from Bay Space zoo

An endangered hooded vulture escaped from a zoo aviary within the San Francisco Bay Space that was destroyed after a large tree fell on it throughout a storm. However the chicken has remained on zoo grounds, and officers had been working Thursday to entice it again.

The male hooded vulture and 5 different unique birds, together with two pied crows and three excellent starlings, flew out from the aviary on the Oakland Zoo on Tuesday amid a wind-packed storm that pummeled the Bay Space, zoo spokeswoman Erin Dogan mentioned.

However the birds stayed on zoo grounds, and a group of no less than 12 zoo staff armed with binoculars, nets, and crates has already recovered the three starlings, Dogan mentioned.
