‘Unacceptable’ homework project addressed
WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Williamsville Central Faculty District is addressing a homework project that some mother and father say contains racist remarks.
On Tuesday, the district says they’re conscious of the “unacceptable” homework project and the district “doesn’t condone any educational materials that denigrates our college students, households, tradition, or beliefs.”
The father or mother tells 7News that the project handed out in a sixth grade Spanish class requested college students to translate phrases together with “You (pleasant) are Mexican and ugly” and “You (politely) are fairly and American.”
A press release was posted by the district on social media:
It’s unclear if the trainer will face any disciplinary actions.
