PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – An unlikely duo was honored for his or her heroic actions over this previous summer season.
An AHN nurse and canine named Tater Tot saved the day and a person’s life at some point again in July.
On the Allegheny River on the River Forest Yacht Membership, 76-year-old Tom Kissel was strolling down the dock together with his canine when out of the blue, an enormous wave slammed into the dock, catching Kissel off guard.
Because of the wave, Kissel was thrown into the water, hitting his head and changing into unconscious on the best way down.
The one one which witnessed his fall was Tater Tot.

Mary Jo Lender and her husband have been docking their boat after they noticed Tater Tot circling Kissel and jumped into motion.

Mary Jo, a nurse at AHN Allegheny Valley, then started compressions, not stopping till paramedics arrived.
