‘Historic’ human bone discovered at canine park
Police have been known as round 7:20 a.m. to the Finest Associates Canine Park on Lee Road after an individual stated they discovered a bone.
The Rocky Mount Police Division Proof Unit collected the bone and partnered with the State Bureau of Investigation and a Forensic Anthropologist from East Carolina College and decided that the bone was human.
The anthropologist stated that, as a result of in depth weathering, it was clear the bone is historic — which means it’s estimated to be shut to at least one hundred years outdated.
