Florida man allegedly hijacks a FedEx truck in violent afternoon crime spree

An armed Florida residence invasion suspect was arrested Wednesday following a collection of carjackings, together with the taking of a FedEx automobile, and firing his weapon a number of occasions whereas fleeing from police, in accordance with native stories.

He then allegedly drove a brief distance and compelled a FedEx driver to take him to Jupiter, a metropolis 23 miles north of West Palm Seashore. 

A standoff ensued that prompted law enforcement officials and the Jupiter police SWAT and hostage negotiation groups to reply. The suspect, who reportedly fired his weapon a number of occasions, was ultimately taken into custody. 

No accidents had been reported through the alleged crime spree.

In a press release to Fox Information, FedEx stated it was cooperating with authorities.

“The security of our crew members is at all times our high precedence, and we’re grateful our driver was not harmed on this incident,” the corporate stated. “We’re working carefully with investigating authorities. In accordance with firm observe, we don’t share private details about our crew members.”
