Turkey Kills 55 Syrian Troops In Idlib: Ministry

Ankara: A complete of 55 Syrian authorities troopers have been killed in Syria’s northwestern province of Idlib amid escalation between Turkish and Syrian forces within the area, semi-official Anadolu Company reported on Thursday.

“According to the latest information received from our sources in Idlib, 55 regime troops have been neutralized today,” stated Turkish Defence Ministry in an announcement, reported Xinhua information company.

Turkish authorities typically use the time period “neutralize” to outline these killed or captured.

Turkey has just lately despatched reinforcements to Syria following a number of exchanges of fireplace with the Syrian forces, which have killed 13 Turkish troopers in two separate incidents in Idlib since final week.

“If any harm comes to our soldiers in observation posts or anywhere (in Syria), I declare that we will hit (Syrian) forces everywhere regardless of the Sochi deal,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Wednesday.

The Turkish military has killed 101 “members of the Syrian government” in retaliation for an assault that killed 5 Turkish troopers, the ministry stated on Monday.
