Disney Reaches Deal With Unions on Vaccinations
Now that the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has obtained full approval from the FDA, extra corporations are requiring vaccinations for workers, with Disney one of many newest to make an announcement.
Disney stated that it has reached a cope with the Service Trades Council Union to require all unionized workers working at Walt Disney World in Florida to be totally vaccinated in opposition to COVID-19 by October 22, 2021, in line with CNBC.
Previous to this announcement, Disney had mandated vaccination for all salaried and non-union hourly workers within the U.S.
The same settlement has not been introduced for unions on the West Coast at Disneyland Resort.
The Service Trades Council Union is comprised of six affiliate unions and represents greater than 40,000 workers. Disney stated that it might host on-site vaccination websites for workers.
