New Delhi: With Ramayana-themed interiors and bhajans enjoying on board, the Railways’ subsequent version of the Ramayana Categorical, which take pilgrims to areas related to Lord Ram, will give passengers the texture of being on a temple on wheels, a senior official mentioned on Friday.
The practice is prone to be launched after March 10, Railway Board Chairman V Ok Yadav mentioned, including that its annual schedule can be launched within the coming week.
“The train will originate from different locations — north, south, east and west — so that people from across the country can avail its services. The exterior and the interior of the train will be Ramayana-themed. We can have bhajans playing on board. IRCTC is planning the schedule and packages, and we are hoping to run the train after Holi,” Yadav mentioned in a press briefing.
Earlier, the Railways ran a particular practice named after Lord Ram, protecting the locations related to the mythological character.
This practice known as the ‘Shri Ramayana Express’, which may carry 800 passengers, began its service from November 14.
Whereas the Shri Ramayana Categorical coated necessary locations of the Ramayana circuit akin to Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Varanasi, Prayag, Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi, Ayodhya and Rameshwaram, the itinerary of the brand new Ramayana practice is but to be revealed.
