Tamil Nadu Extends Covid-19 Lockdown Till October 31

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Okay. Palaniswami on Tuesday introduced the extension of Covid-19 lockdown within the state until October 31, although giving some extra relaxations.

Palaniswami additionally mentioned the Authorities Order issued earlier permitting college students of Courses 10, 11 and 12 normal to go to highschool to clear doubts from October 1 has been saved on maintain.

He made the announcement after holding conferences with the District Collectors, and medical consultants and after consultations with senior ministers.

The relaxations introduced by Palaniswami are that eating places and tea stalls can perform from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. for dining-in and for parcel service until 10 p.m., film capturing is permitted with not over 100 individuals and no permission for onlookers, permission for 100 plane landings per day from the present 50 per day in Chennai Airport.

All the opposite relaxations and restrictions introduced earlier will proceed, the Chief Minister added.
