Social activist and Arya Samaj chief Swami Agnivesh handed away on Friday on the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, Delhi. He was affected by liver cirrhosis and was critically ailing. He was 80.
“On Friday, his condition deteriorated and he went into cardiac arrest at 6:00 PM. Resuscitation was attempted but the stalwart passed away at 6:30 PM. ILBS joins the country in mourning the loss of this beloved leader,” the hospital mentioned in an announcement.
The mortal stays of Swami Agnivesh will reportedly be stored at his Jantar Mantar residence from 11 am to 2 pm for Antim Darshan. As per reviews, his final rites will happen in Gurugram at four pm on Saturday.
He was elected to the Haryana Meeting in 1977 and have become the training minister after two years.
Swami Agnivesh was broadly recognized for his marketing campaign towards bonded labour by means of his basis Bandhua Mukti Morcha (Bonded Labor Liberation Entrance).
