Raisen (MP): Seven individuals died and over 30 had been injured after a personal bus fell right into a flooded river in Madhya Pradesh’s Raisen district within the wee hours of Thursday.
The bus was apparently rushing and the motive force misplaced management whereas it was passing over a bridge, the police mentioned.
Chief Minister Kamal Nath expressed grief over the incident, and introduced support of Rs 4 lakh for the kin of every deceased.
The Chhattarpur-bound bus, which had began from Indore, fell into the Richhan river, about 40 km from the state capital Bhopal, round 1.30 am, mentioned Superintendent of Police Monika Shukla.
The river was in spate following steady rains within the space, mentioned one other official.
“Five bodies were recovered in the night. The body of another person was recovered this morning, while one of the injured persons died during treatment in Bhopal, taking the toll to seven,” Shukla mentioned.
Eleven severely injured passengers had been admitted to Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal, whereas eight others had been being handled on the district hospital right here, she added.
Sixteen others sustained minor accidents.
College Schooling Minister Prabhuram Chowdhary visited the district hospital and met the injured individuals.
