Russia Backs India On Kashmir Again

New Delhi: Russia on Friday reiterated that the constitutional reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir state was an inside matter of India and none of its concern.

Russian Ambassador to India Nikolay Kudashev made the assertion in response to a number of questions concerning Kashmir at a press briefing right here. The comment comes a day after the UN Safety Council as soon as once more rejected China’s request to debate Kashmir, on the behest of Pakistan.

One of many elementary rules of bilateral relationship is to chorus from intervening in inside affairs, Kudashev stated on the embassy right here.

In response to a different query whether or not he wish to go to Kashmir given the doubts raised by Western press following the nullification of particular standing of Kashmir on August 5, the envoy stated that he was not significantly eager on visiting Kashmir.

“There is no reason for me to travel. Those who have concerns and doubts can visit. But we don’t interfere in internal issues and constitutional matters of countries,” he stated.

Focusing on the US, Ambassador Kudashev readout Russian President Vladimir Putin’s current handle to the federal meeting in Moscow and International Minister Sergey Lavrov’s speech at Observer Analysis Basis’s convention in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Each Putin and Lavrov of their speeches had censured the US for being unilateral and selling unipolarity below the garb of “rule-based world order”.
