President Kovind, PM Modi Pay Tribute To S. Radhakrishnan On Teachers’ Day

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Dwelling Minister Amit Shah paid homage to former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his 132nd start anniversary on the event of Academics’ Day.

“President Kovind paid floral tributes to Dr S. Radhakrishnan, former President of India, on his birth anniversary at Rashtrapati Bhavan,” a tweet from the official Twitter deal with of Rashtrapati Bhavan learn.

In a sequence of tweets, PM Modi mentioned: “We remain grateful to the hardworking teachers for their contributions towards shaping minds and building our nation. On Teachers’ Day, we express gratitude to our teachers for their remarkable efforts. We pay tributes to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan on his Jayanti.”

“Who better than our knowledgeable teachers to deepen our connect with our nation’s glorious history. During the recent Mann Ki Baat, I had shared an idea of teachers teaching students about lesser known aspects of our great freedom struggle,” Modi mentioned attaching a video from his month-to-month radio broadcast programme.
