Sen. Rand Paul requires repeal of the Espionage Act following FBI raid of Trump’s Florida property

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., is looking for a repeal of the Espionage Act after the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided former President Trump’s Florida property, Mar-a-Lago.

Paul made the announcement in a tweet on Saturday night time.

“The espionage act was abused from the start to jail dissenters of WWI. It’s gone time to repeal this egregious affront to the first Modification,” Paul tweeted.

Brokers from the FBI executed a search warrant on the Florida property of Trump on Monday and seized gadgets, which included 11 units of fabric that have been listed as categorised, in addition to some that have been marked as high secret.

In a submit on Fact Social after the warrant was publicly launched on Friday, Trump mentioned that the paperwork taken by federal brokers have been “all declassified.”
