McConnell suggests Trump is ‘extremely unlikely’ to win presidential election as a result of Ye, Fuentes dinner

Senate Minority Chief Mitch McConnell prompt Tuesday that Donald Trump is “extremely unlikely” to regain the presidency because of his latest dinner with the rapper now generally known as Ye and white supremacist Nick Fuentes.

Trump has been condemned for eating with each males, who’ve espoused anti-Semitic beliefs, at his Mar-a-Lago membership in Palm Seaside, Florida, final week.

“First, let me simply say that there is no such thing as a room within the Republican Celebration for anti-Semitism or white supremacy,” McConnell, R-Kentucky, instructed reporters.

“And anybody assembly with folks advocating that viewpoint, in my judgment, are extremely unlikely to ever be elected president of the USA,” McConnell stated.

Requested by a reporter if he would assist Trump if Trump received the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, McConnell reiterated his assertion about there being no room within the get together for anti-Semitism or white supremacy.

“And that may apply to the entire leaders within the get together who might be looking for places of work,” McConnell added.

Trump, who earlier this month introduced his candidacy for the White Home, has stated he was unaware of who Fuentes was when he arrived with Ye at Mar-a-Lago. Ye was beforehand generally known as Kanye West.

Earlier Tuesday, Home Republican chief Kevin McCarthy of California — who goals to change into speaker of the Home when Republicans regain management in January — criticized Fuentes.

“I condemn his ideology,” McCarthy stated. “It has no place in society in any respect.”

The California lawmaker later stated, “The president can have conferences with who he desires — I do not suppose anyone, although, ought to have a gathering with Nick Fuentes.

McCarthy added: “And his views should not — are nowhere inside the Republican Celebration or inside this nation itself.”
