Georgia Democrat resigns from Home; particular election set for March 21

A Clayton County Democrat resigned from the Georgia Home of Representatives, triggering a March particular election, in accordance with a proclamation issued Monday by Gov. Brian Kemp.

Rep. Mike Glanton, of Jonesboro, served 14 years within the Home in two separate stints. The Military veteran and minister stepped down days after being sworn in for an eighth time period.
