The Home and Senate will obtain categorised briefings on Thursday on the Chinese language spy balloon that was shot down final week after it flew throughout many of the continental U.S.
Fox Information has discovered that at 8:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, all Home lawmakers can be briefed by officers from Workplace of the Director of Nationwide Intelligence (ODNI), Division of Protection (DOD) and State Division.
These officers embrace Morgan Muir, deputy director for mission integration for ODNI; Dr. Colin Kahl, below secretary of protection coverage for DOD; Lt. Gen. Douglas Sims II, director of operations of the Joint Workers; Common Van Herck, commander of United States Northern Command and North American Aerospace Protection Command; and Dan Kritenbrink, assistant secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific affairs.

Whereas the balloon was off the coast of South Carolina, it was shot down by U.S. navy fighter jets on Saturday afternoon. A senior U.S. navy official mentioned that an F-22 was used to convey down the balloon at 58,000 toes, and mentioned it was taken down by a single A9X missile.
