Pakistani National Among 3 LeT Militants Killed In Encounter In J&K

Srinagar: Three Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants, together with a Pakistani nationwide concerned in a current assault on safety forces, had been killed in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday, police mentioned.

Safety forces launched a cordon and search operation round midnight within the Reban space of Sopore city following details about the presence of militants there, a police official mentioned.

The safety forces retaliated and within the ensuing gunfight, three militants had been killed, the official mentioned.

Inspector Basic of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar mentioned one of many slain militants was a Pakistani nationwide concerned in an assault on safety forces at Sopore during which one CRPF Jawan and a civilian had been killed.

“One Pakistani LeT militant Usman killed in the encounter. He was involved in recent terror attack at Sopore in which one CRPF jawan was martyred and one civilian was killed. Big success for police and security forces,” the Kashmir Zone Police’s Twitter deal with quoted him as saying.
