New Delhi: Over 1,300 posts are mendacity vacant within the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in opposition to its complete sanctioned power of seven,273, the federal government instructed Parliament on Monday.
Of the sanctioned power, 5,944 posts are stuffed and 1,329 vacant within the CBI, in keeping with knowledge shared by Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh in a written reply to a query in Lok Sabha.
Giving category-wise particulars, he stated out of the sanctioned power of 5,000 of govt ranks, 4,198 is the precise power, as on August 31, 2020.
Of the 370 posts of authorized ranks, 285 have been stuffed and 66 out of 166 posts meant for technical ranks have been occupied, in keeping with the reply.
As many as 1,368 and 27 posts of ministerial ranks and canteen employees have been occupied in opposition to the sanctioned power of 1,671 and 70 respectively, the information confirmed.
Singh stated proactive efforts are made to make sure filling up of vacancies in any respect ranks speedily.
“All Central Police Organisations (CPOs)/State Police/Banks etc. are regularly requested to send the nomination of officers/officials for deputation in CBI,” he stated.
The minister stated the CBI requests varied organisations, together with public sector banks, Ministry of Dwelling Affairs for sponsoring names for the posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and inspector on deputation within the company.
“Proposals are sent to Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for induction of suitable officers in various technical ranks in CBI,” Singh stated.
