Mumbai: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and senior NCP chief Ajit Pawar has acquired the finance and planning division whereas his get together colleague Anil Deshmukh is the brand new Residence Minister of the state, a senior official stated on Sunday.
Moreover, first-time Shiv Sena MLA Aaditya Thackeray, who’s the son of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, has been given cost of the surroundings, tourism and protocol departments, he stated.
Senior Congress chief Balasaheb Thorat has acquired the income ministry, the official added.
With this allocation of portfolios, the Sharad Pawar- led NCP has acquired many of the ‘plum’ ministries.
There have been speculations that both Ajit Pawar or Jayant Patil of the NCP would get the Residence division, however the portfolio has been allotted to their get together colleague Anil Deshmukh.
Earlier, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari authorized the allocation of portfolios as proposed by the chief minister.
The checklist of portfolios to be allotted to ministers was despatched to the governor on Saturday night.
