Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon Passes Away At 85

Lucknow: Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon (85) handed away right here on Tuesday after a chronic sickness. His son and UP minister Ashutosh Tandon confirmed the information.

Lalji Tandon was admitted to the Medanta hospital on June 13 after he complained of urinary downside and fever. He, thereafter, developed problems in liver and kidney and even underwent a surgical process.

He was placed on ventilator later.

Born on April 12, 1935, Tandon is survived by his spouse Krishna Tandon and three sons.

The veteran chief has served as member of the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Parishad for 2 phrases and in addition remained the Chief of Home of the Council.

He was elected to the Vidhan Sabha for 3 phrases and was a minister in BJP and BSP -BJP governments.

In Might 2009, he was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha from Lucknow by a margin over 40,000 votes.

In 2018, he was appointed Governor of Bihar and shifted to Madhya Pradesh in the identical capability in 2019.
