New Delhi: The federal government on Tuesday mentioned it has prolonged connectivity norms for do business from home for IT and BPO firms until December 31.
The time interval for do business from home was expiring on July 31.
“DoT has further extended the relaxations in the terms and conditions for other service providers up to 31st December 2020 to facilitate work from home in view of the ongoing concern due to COVID-19,” the Division of Telecommunications mentioned in a late-night tweet.
At present, round 85 per cent of the IT workforce is working from dwelling and solely these performing essential features are going to places of work.
In March, the DoT relaxed sure norms for OSPs until April 30 to facilitate do business from home (WFH) amid the coronavirus pandemic which was additional prolonged until July 31.
