New Delhi: Senior IPS officer of Gujarat cadre Anup Kumar Singh has taken over the cost of Director Basic of the elite Nationwide Safety Guard (NSG), the power stated on Tuesday.
Singh took over the command of NSG on Monday, 10 days after the Appointments Committee of the Cupboard (ACC) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi permitted his appointment because the Director Basic of the ‘Black Cats commando’ power.
The ACC had permitted Singh’s appointment to the submit on October 18.
“The Black Cats welcome their new DG and look to move forward for achieving greater heights under his command,” Nationwide Safety Guard tweeted.
The 1985-batch IPS officer took cost as NSG chief from Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Director Basic S.S. Deswal, who was holding extra cost of the submit for the reason that superannuation of Sudeep Lakhtakia on July 31.
Singh will maintain the submit until September 30, 2020 from the date of becoming a member of or until additional orders, whichever is earlier.
