The incident befell on Monday and got here to mild on Tuesday when a gathering of protesting dad and mom was seen outdoors the varsity on Tuesday morning.
The college is situated at Bolpur, close to Santiniketan in West Bengal’s Birbhum district.

The college principal Sister Archana Fernandez defended the motion saying it was not an incident of forcing the scholars to take away their leggings.
“The students were only asked to submit their leggings as they did not conform to the school’s dress code,” she stated.
A senior trainer of the varsity, Jaher Ali Mondal stated faculty has a costume code however the leggings that the scholars wore didn’t conform to it. “They (students) were only asked to change their leggings, none was forced to take them off”.
West Bengal Training Minister Partha Chatterjee stated, “We have taken a strong view of the alleged incident.”
He stated the district training division has requested for a report from the varsity authorities. “After receiving the report I will ensure appropriate measures are taken. We will also speak to the ICSE Board.”
