Five Teachers From Northeast Among 47 Selected For National Teachers Award 2020

The Division of College Schooling and Literacy of the Union Ministry of Schooling introduced the recipients of the Nationwide Awards for Academics, 2020 on Friday.

5 gifted lecturers from Northeast India area gained the celebrated award for his or her wonderful service to the society.

The 5 chosen lecturers are:

1. Goutam Dev Sarma – Instructor, Govt H.S. and M.P College in Kokrajhar, Assam

2. Archana Gurung – Principal, Govt. Senior Secondary College Jorethang, Sikkim

3. Lomas Dhungel – Instructor, Govt Senior Secondary College, Makha, Sikkim


4. Rahul Sankar Chatterjee – Lecturer, Shillong Jail Highway Boys Greater Secondary College, Meghalaya

5. Sanjay Das – Instructor, Tilabazar HS College, Tripura

The Union Schooling Ministry, earlier referred to as Human Useful resource Growth (HRD) Ministry, provides nationwide lecturers awards yearly recognising their achievements within the area of training.

The lecturers apply for the award on-line and get shortlisted at three ranges – district, state and nationwide. The division of college training and literacy of the training ministry constitutes an unbiased jury on the nationwide degree to pick out the awardees. This 12 months, 153 lecturers had been shortlisted and 47 of them had been chosen for the award.
