Places ladies at an obstacle | L’Humanité – France

The deliberate pension reform will enhance gender inequalities, criticises Alyssa Ahrabare, spokesperson for the feminist affiliation Osez le féminisme !, in L’Humanité:

“Girls’s pensions are already 40 % decrease than these of males, and the reform will intensify these inequalities. The extension of the contribution interval to 43 years as of 2027 will penalise above all ladies who needed to take a break to lift youngsters. Much more of them must wait till they’re 67 for the prospect of a full pension. That is unacceptable! In France, the typical pension amongst ladies is 1,145 euros gross in comparison with 1,924 euros for males. This hole is the results of two inequalities: in wages and within the period of contributions.”
