Turkish faculties will reopen on Monday after virtually no face-to-face lessons because the begin of the pandemic. State faculties and personal faculties are worlds aside when it comes to preparation, instructor’s union activist Feray Aytekin Aydoğan complains in Birgün:

“Our actuality is overcrowded faculties and lessons with 40, 50, 60 youngsters. In a single and a half years no extra lecture rooms have been organised and never sufficient academics have been employed. And underneath these circumstances we’re supposed to keep up social distance. … At non-public faculties, alternatively, catch-up classes started on August 23. The disparity between private and non-private faculties has worsened in the course of the epidemic. Hundreds of thousands of pupils are severely behind of their studying. However what we’re seeing in academics’ committees is that the Ministry of Training has made no preparations in anyway to compensate for this case.”
