Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono honored John Lennon on Lennon’s birthday in social media posts Saturday.
Lennon would have been 81. The Beatles star was shot to dying on the age of 40.
McCartney shared a throwback photograph of Lennon and him taking part in the guitar within the type of a violin.
“Joyful Birthday ideas for John – Paul,” he captioned the photo.

Ono shared a throwback photograph of Lennon and his son Sean, 46. Father and son shared a birthday.
“Joyful Birthday John! Joyful Birthday Sean! I really like you! yoko,” she wrote.

Dec. 8, 2020 marked 40 years since Lennon’s dying. McCartney paid tribute to his former bandmate on Twitter on the time.
“A tragic, unhappy day, however remembering my buddy John with the nice pleasure he delivered to the world,” McCartney captioned the post. “I’ll all the time be proud and glad to have identified and labored with this unimaginable Scouser! X love, Paul.”

Ringo Starr additionally paid tribute to the musician.
“Tuesday, Eight December 1980 all of us needed to say goodbye to John. Peace and love John,” the drummer wrote in his personal tribute.
“I am asking Each music radio station on the planet [to] someday in the present day play ‘Strawberry Fields Endlessly.’ Peace and love,” Starr added.
