Bonnaroo 2021 has been formally canceled.
The pageant, which takes place in Tennessee, introduced the information on social media, citing the “waterlogged” pageant grounds
“We’re completely heartbroken to announce that we should cancel Bonnaroo. Whereas this weekend’s climate seems to be excellent, at the moment Centeroo is waterlogged in lots of areas, the bottom is extremely saturated on our tollbooth paths, and the campgrounds are flooded to the purpose that we’re unable to drive in or park autos safely,” the assertion learn.
“We’ve got executed all the things in our energy to attempt to maintain the present transferring ahead, however Mom Nature has dealt us an amazing quantity of rain over the previous 24 hours, and we now have run out of choices to attempt to make the occasion occur safely and in a method that lives as much as the Bonnaroo expertise,” the assertion continued.

The annual pageant was scheduled to begin Thursday on the location of a former farm in Manchester, about an hour southeast of Nashville. That is the second 12 months in a row the music pageant has been canceled. The 2020 pageant was known as off as a result of coronavirus pandemic.

Artists who had been presupposed to carry out this weekend included Lizzo, the Foo Fighters, Tame Impala, Megan Thee Stallion, Phoebe Bridgers, Tyler, the Creator and Jason Isbell.
