New Delhi: The RSS-affiliated ABVP on Friday received three posts, together with that of the president, in Delhi College College students Union (DUSU) polls whereas the Congress-backed NSUI bagged the secretary’s publish.
Ashwit Dahiya of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) defeated Nationwide College students Union of India (NSUI)’s Chetna Tyagi for the highest publish by a margin of over 19,000 votes.
The posts of vice chairman and joint secretary have been received by ABVP’s Pradeep Tanwar and Shivangi Kharwal by a margin of 8,574 and a pair of,914 votes respectively.
NSUI bagged the secretary’s publish with its candidate Ashish Lamba defeating ABVP’s Yogi Rathee by a margin of two,053 votes.
The voter turnout in DUSU polls on Thursday was recorded at 39.90 per cent, over 4 proportion factors down from the final 12 months.
Final 12 months, the election noticed a 44.46 per cent voter turnout.
