Delhi Violence – Sonia Gandhi appeals for calm

New Delhi: In wake of violence in northeast Delhi on Monday that left a police head constable and three civilians useless, Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi has appealed for “calm”.

In an announcement, she appealed “that people of Delhi should maintain communal harmony and curb the design of those who are communal wanted to divide the society”.

Gandhi additionally expressed disappointment on the deaths and provided her condolences.

She additionally stated that the nation has no place for the individuals concerned in violence and for many who wish to impose their ideology forcibly within the land of Mahatma Gandhi.
