Delhi Riots: Police Arrest Former JNU Student Umar Khalid Under UAPA

New Delhi: Delhi Police arrested former Jawaharlal Nehru College (JNU) pupil Umar Khalid beneath the Illegal Actions (Prevention) Act in reference to northeast Delhi riots that broke out in February this 12 months.

Khalid was summoned on Saturday and Sunday. He was arrested after being questioned for round 10 hours and will likely be produced earlier than a Delhi courtroom on Monday.
