Mumbai: Actor Deepika Padukone and shuttler PV Sindhu on Tuesday had been named the ambassadors for ‘Bharat Ki Laxmi’, an initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that goals at bringing commendable work carried out by girls throughout the nation to mild forward of the Diwali competition.
The prime minister shared a video on the brand new marketing campaign underscoring the reason for girls empowerment.
“India’s Nari Shakti epitomises expertise and tenacity, willpower and dedication. Our ethos has all the time taught us to attempt for ladies empowerment.
“By this video, @Pvsindhu1 and @deepikapadukone excellently convey the message of celebrating #BharatKiLaxmi,” the PM wrote on Twitter.
Deepika and Sindhu registered their help for the marketing campaign on the microblogging web site.
“This Diwali, let us throw light on & celebrate the contribution & accomplishments of the women of our country! #BharatKiLaxmi,” Deepika wrote as she shared the video.
Sindhu mentioned societies develop when girls are empowered and their accomplishments are given a spot of delight.
“I support PM @narendramodi ji #BharatKiLaxmi movement. It celebrates extraordinary achievements of extraordinary women of India. This Diwali, let’s celebrate womanhood,” she added within the tweet.
