Srinagar: Two militants and a central reserve police drive (CRPF) trooper have been killed on Tuesday in a gunfight in J&Okay’s Pulwama district.
Police mentioned two militants and a CRPF jawan have been killed early Tuesday in an encounter between the safety forces and the militants in Bandzoo village of Pulwama district.
Bandzoo village is located one kilometre forward of Pulwama city on Pulwama-Shopian street.
“Following particular details about the presence of militants in Bandzoo village, safety forces together with the native police, Rashtriya Rifles and the CRPF began a cordon and search operation throughout which an encounter began.
“Two militants have been killed on this encounter. A CRPF jawan sustained essential accidents in the course of the encounter.
“He later succumbed to essential accidents. Firing has stopped, however searches are nonetheless occurring,” police mentioned.
Earlier, the militants had hurled a grenade at a Central Reserve Police Pressure camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday evening, however there was no casualty, officers mentioned.
The grenade exploded close to the camp, they mentioned.
“Militants hurled a grenade at the CRPF camp at Batagund in Tral area at around 8.30 pm,” police officers mentioned.
The CRPF personnel fired a number of rounds within the air following the blast. No lack of life or harm to anybody was reported within the incident, they mentioned.
