Centre Adds 20 More Sports Disciplines For Recruitment

New Delhi: The Union authorities has included 20 extra sports activities disciplines like tug-of-war, mallakhamb and para-sports amongst others for direct recruitment of meritorious sportspersons in Group C degree authorities posts, the Ministry of Personnel and Public Grievances stated in an order issued on Tuesday.

The transfer comes following a proposal from the Division of Sports activities for the inclusion of some extra disciplines within the checklist of 43 sports activities for recruitment of sportspersons to any Group C publish in ministries/departments of the federal government of India.

“It has now been decided to accept the recommendation of Department of Sports,” the order stated.
Accordingly, the checklist of sports activities/video games for the aim of recruitment of sportspersons by the federal government of India is revised to have 63 sports activities disciplines, the order stated.

Sportspersons who’ve represented a state or the nation in nationwide or worldwide competitions in any of the 63 video games/sports activities are eligible for appointment for Group C degree posts, based on current directions.
