Baftas ’20: Joaquin Phoenix’s ‘Joker’ Leads With 11 Nominations

London: Todd Phillips superhero movie “Joker” leads the nomination pack for the 2020 British Academy of Movie and Televisions Movie Awards (BAFTAs), with actor Joaquin Phoenix within the race to seize the Greatest Actor accolade.

Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood” and Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” scored 10 nominations apiece. Sam Mendes’ struggle drama “1917” has 9 nods.

Only a day after profitable a Golden Globe for Greatest Actor in a Movement Image for the film, Joaquin has emerged because the contender for the Main Actor trophy at BAFTAs. The BAFTA movie awards nominees had been revealed on Tuesday in London. “Sex Education” stars Asa Butterfield and “Charlie’s Angels” star Ella Balinska readout the names.
