Ashok Lavasa Resigns As Election Commissioner

New Delhi: Election Commissioner Ashok Lavasa, who was subsequent within the line to go the Fee, on Tuesday resigned from his put up to take cost as Vice-President of the Philippines-based Asian Improvement Financial institution (ADB) subsequent month.

Lavasa’s resignation comes a month after the ADB appointed him as Vice-President for Non-public Sector Operations and Public-Non-public Partnership. He’ll succeed Diwakar Gupta, whose time period will finish on August 31.
