5 Injured As Bombs Hurled At Protest March In West Bengal

Raiganj (West Bengal): 5 individuals had been injured on Wednesday when crude bombs had been hurled at a protest march taken out towards the brand new Citizenship regulation in West Bengal’s North Dinajpur district, police stated.

The march, taken out by the Paschim Banga Nasshi Sheikh Unnayan Samiti, was returning after submitting a deputation on the district Justice of the Peace’s workplace when the incident occurred at School Para space on Nationwide Freeway-34, they stated.

The agitators blocked the nationwide freeway for 2 hours and safety personnel had been deployed to manage the state of affairs, a police officer stated.

“Injured persons were taken to a nearby hospital and the condition of one of them was serious,” he added.
