New Delhi: A medium-intensity earthquake of magnitude 4.2 hit Alwar district in Rajasthan on Thursday, tremors of which had been felt in Delhi-NCR, the Nationwide Middle for Seismology (NCS) stated.
Based on the Ministry of Earth Sciences’ NCS, the epicentre of the quake was Alwar in Rajasthan.
The earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred at 11.46 pm at a depth of 5 kilometres, it stated.
The tremors prompted individuals to enterprise out of their houses in worry. No casualties or injury to properties have been reported thus far.

The tremors had been felt in Gurgaon, Ghaziabad and Noida, in response to Skymet Climate.

Earthquakes of lower than 5 magnitude are unlikely to trigger large-scale injury, until in case of weak or compromised buildings.
