New York: Astronomers have found 13 huge black holes in dwarf galaxies lower than a billion light-years from the Earth, says a brand new examine, including that these dwarf galaxies, greater than 100 occasions much less huge than our personal Milky Method, are among the many smallest galaxies identified to host huge black holes.

We were very surprised to find that, in roughly half of those 13 galaxies, the black hole is not at the centre of the galaxy, unlike the case in larger galaxies,” Reines mentioned.
