Ranchi: Ten cyber criminals have been arrested in Jharkhand’s Deoghar district on Thursday, police stated.
The cyber police in a particular drive arrested the criminals from two villages within the district. The police seized 28 cell phones, six financial institution passbooks, 19 ATM playing cards, one car, two bikes and Rs 1.50 lakh in money from them.
The police first arrested Girish Mandal, Sujit Mandal, Amar Kumar and two others from Jaggadih village. The opposite 5, together with Rabbani Ansari, Sarfaraz Ansari, Tahir Ansari have been arrested from Murlipahari village.
The arrested criminals used to focus on individuals by e-wallet, UPI and one other such medium to earn cash simply.
Jharkhand’s Deoghar and Jamtara districts have turned out to be the cybercrime hubs within the state.
In recent times, over 50 cyber criminals have been arrested from the 2 districts.
In accordance with the police, individuals in poor financial situation have constructed properties within the districts from the cash amassed by committing cyber thefts. The properties of 13 cyber criminals have been hooked up in Jamatara district.
